A rare Sunday early afternoon post as we wrap up out holiday break today. Lucky duck Mac still gets an extra week of vacation, but Sean will be back at school in the morning. And while I'll be at home for fifteen more days, the spring semester prep list will require pretty much full work days from here on out.
But I am not writing that list until later today.
I spent the last few days of vacation gathering together several blog posts, making lots of stuff for my planner, crafting up Christmas thank you notes, eating three pieces of bacon every morning for breakfast and realizing "How I Met Your Mother" is a really cute show. I am trying not to succumb to immense melancholy that the quiet and cozy general sense of laziness is over.
So instead I will think of three things to be happy about...
It's forecasted to rain all week, so a steaming cup of tea out on the front porch sound like a good idea. I get to start making my class planner for the spring, and Sean will be home at 3pm this week since coaching doesn't start back until next week.
I'll be just fine.
The corner next to my desk has a favorite print, my 2016 calendar and a coloring page from some of our merry making.
