We went to a party for two high school graduates this weekend. One is Mac's cousin and the other is the oldest son from their neighbors two doors down that they are super close with. Since the neighbor is a teenage boy Sean and I do not know terribly well we went with the safe gift...cash. I have done this before, but it was a little less work this time.
Instead of rolling up little dollar diplomas, I just stuffed twenty-five dollar bills into an eight-ounce mason jar. They are so packed in there they practically pop out when you open it. I punched out a circle of cardstock, used my typewriter for the front, and hand wrote a note on the back. Some twine in the high school colors and the gift was all set.
