In case you were ever wondering if McIntosh was my son...this little whiteboard sits on his desk and outlined his schedule for the weekend. When he said "Disneyland" in the morning it meant he was up at 3:15 to be at school at 4am to cheer at the Disney half marathon this past weekend. Sean went as a chaperon too. I stayed in bed.
My point in sharing this little whiteboard is to introduce that, through nature and nurture, I have a son that loves some good organization like his mom. Granted, this isn't completely reflected in the typical status of his bedroom, but it still resides within his soul. This is why he has always been obsessed with the class planners the students at Sean's junior high receive.
After seeing this year's version Mac asked me to make him his own class planner. How could I resist that kind of request?
The back to front printing was a little tricky, but there is a page for each month with room for notes on the back and then a double-page spread for each week of the school year that Mac can write the dates in himself. I made a cover, then took the stack to Staples to have it laminated and spiral bound.
And I had to get a little note to him hidden in the back too. I was so excited to give him this book. Such a small detail might seem ridiculously unimportant, but seeing Mac so happy to have this book will really be one of my very favorite moments as his mom.
