I cracked open a beer today at 7:43am...to make the chili for Sean's chili cheese dog birthday dinner party.
I brought individual caramel crunch peanut butter cheesecake parfaits to Sean's school as a birthday dessert. However, we were having the chili cheese dog party tonight and I thought it'd be boring for him to have to eat the same dessert twice in a row. So I hit the canned fruit aisle and made Sean a trifle dish full of one of his favorites, ambrosia.
In addition to birthday celebrating, we sat out on the field in almost hundred degree heat and high humidity to watch Mac cheer at the first JV home game. Despite the heat, it is so fun to be back to watching football and, especially, cheerleading.
And that sums up the kickoff to our holiday weekend...hope yours is off to a great start too.
