I am really going to try hard to ignore that this first day of the month is supposed to be over a hundred degrees, but I am looking forward to all the other days October will bring. I am eager for pumpkin purchasing, simmering pots of soup, friends coming to visit, a high school homecoming, apple pie with whipped cream, and the little bit of holiday planning that I can never resist this time of year. I love that this month is starting off on a Monday...it makes it feel like there's extra momentum to get started with every last thing I can possibly think of. Here we go...
