On Fridays I usually work up on campus as a Sociology writing tutor. I'm in an empty office with no windows that I call the isolation room. So far this semester I have only had one person come in for help. This will pick up at the end of the semester and since I schedule all the appointments for the tutoring center I know that the statistics tutors are much busier than I am.
The campus is closed today for spring break which means I had five hours to spend. We will ignore that I still have to write most of an analysis section for my graduate project draft that is due to my advisor today. Instead we'll revel in all the fun I had. I took Mac to school, came home and climbed back into bed on a cloudy morning to catch up on blog reading. I got a pedicure. I saw another estate sale sign and ended up going through boxes of fabric remnants. I stopped by the cake decorating store for supplies for a special celebration we'll be having around here. I got Starbucks. I had a husband come home early since he had a minimum day. And we had take-out and watched an episode of The New Girl.
I'm felling pretty darn lucky that I was able to pack an entire blissful little vacation into five hours.
