This is my kitchen and I've barely been in it. I cooked for last Thursday's dinner party and that's pretty much it. We've been scrounging around on leftovers and a little take out this week. But we're about to run out of milk and extra-sourdough english muffins so some grocery lists and meal planning need to happen sooner than later.
Today I did take a slight bit of initiative and made some vinaigrette to use with lettuce that needs to be devoured quickly before it goes bad. It's a Dill Vinaigrette from All Recipes (really love the iPad app).
I thought I'd share our spice storage. There was this beat-up bread box that I couldn't resist in Texas three years ago...
And it turns out that with it's shelf it is just about the perfect size to keep everything tucked away neatly...
But maybe I should admit that I totally straightened everything up a little bit for that photo.
