Because he immediately ran up to the cheese ball sign and wanted me to take a picture.
Because he acted like I'd poisoned him when I gave him a minuscule bite of my lobster roll to try.
Because he loved seeing that there's a Filipino food truck even though he's 50% more Filipino than I am, yet refuses to realize the true magic of lumpia.
Because he really wanted to go to Renegade.
Because he makes an awesome secretary making phone calls for me while I'm driving.
Because he was super excited when he found a fluorescent robot necklace with nerd glasses.
Because he loved meeting Danni from Oh Hello Friend and asked questions about her for the rest of the afternoon.
And because on the way back to our car he ran into the middle of the abandoned street and threw up his arms with downtown Los Angeles in the background.
