Oh was I supposed to blog this week? Sorry about that...these last summer days are just getting away from me...and I promised I would share about our bedroom, but it wasn't completely done until this morning.
So I think it's pretty easy to guess my favorite color is green...what I call "70's pukey green" to be exact. I am pretty sure that my second favorite color is orange so that is why I couldn't help myself when I saw that orange duvet at Ikea.
Sean teased that, combined with our new navy wall, it would seem like a shrine to the Denver Broncos (I also brought up it's actually Cal State Fullerton's colors too), but his playful threats didn't stop me.
Add in a valance made from some orange silk fabric on clearance at Joann's and we have an green, blue, and orange bedroom that I really love...
One of my very favorite parts is that we outlined the blue square with chair-rail and little architectural corners...
We also used the Craigslist revenue I've built up the last few months (and the anniversary gift from my mom) which means I have my long-dreamed about reading corner...
A big denim slip-covered chair and ottoman...and a light since I am losing my close-up vision at the old age of 33...
I just have to figure what to hang up on the wall behind it.
And speaking of my bedroom, since it's well after midnight I'd better go get to sleep in it.
