The mail showed up today...granted that's not so ironic...that's usually one of my favorite times of day.
Today we received Darby J. Griffin's insurance card and the paperwork from the adoption. The report from the social worker and Roxana's medical history. So, the report lists the reasons for placement and I quote,
"Roxana gave the following reasons for wanting to place her daughter for adoption:
1. I am not financially stable
2. Adoption is the best option for my baby
3. I am giving a gift to the adoptive couple
4. I am not in a place in my life where I can raise a child right now
5. I want to finish school and pursue my career"
Ah the irony of our current heartbreak...because it's not like at this very moment those five statements don't ring as true as when she said them. Is it bad that I WOULD love for her to see these?
