Okay I FINALLY started the book. I just made the title page, but it's a start. Nothing too innovative or terribly creative, but hopefully it looks nice enough.
Tara Whitney took the photo of us last January standing at the front door our house...those photos are going to be ever so essential as I make this book...I would have never guessed how much I'd end up needing them one day am was so happy to have them as I organized things for the book last night.
The nursery's a little more done. We're still waiting on an armoire, make a quick trip to Pottery Barn Kids for some quilt clips, and I have to be a little creative to make the curtains I hung to hide the closet actually reach the floor....they're about 10" short. So either Sean or I (probably Sean because I'll be busy making our book) will become good friends with fusing tape to add some contrasting fabric to the bottom of the denim curtains...hopefully it'll work and look cute because I love the denim curtains and don't want to try something else. I'm probably not making any sense...hopefully the photos I'll be taking one day soon will help explain my ramblings.
Other big news is Romeo is here (I'm not kidding his name is Romeo) installing our new double oven/microwave combo, warming drawer, and cooktop. Our new hood and dishwasher are of course backordered so that'll be installed at the beginning of next month. So today should be the momentous day that the little microwave my mom bout me 11 years ago for my dorm room at the UofR will retire from it's years of faithful service. Ironically I won't have time to cook tonight so we'll probably be eating take-out to celebrate. :)
