The leaves are falling and chicken stock is simmering on the stove...lovely Fall in southern California....
Oh wait
It's 85 degrees out at 7:32pm and the only reason the leaves are falling is because their being ripped off their branches by gusts from the ever so violent Santa Ana winds.
This seems to happen every year, the weather starts to cool down in September for a week or so (meaning it's in the 70's) and you begin to feel like it just actually might be Fall...then it heats up to almost a 100 degrees with 50 mile per hour winds which destroy your yard (especially if they're new plants...which I'm trying not to think about).
Chicken stock is simmering on the stove though...happy Fall everybody. :)
